Week of April 13th, 2026 Announcements:
Congratulations to everyone who participate in the meet this Saturday at William Byrd H.S. We had several athletes set new PRs and even get early state qualifying marks! A very special congratulations goes out to Hassane Doucoure and Magnus Harvard. Hassane won the High Jump with a jump of 6-8 that also broke the school record! Magnus won the pole vault with a jump of 15-3 that also broke the school record! GO KNIGHTS!!!

Here is some important information from Coach Wiggins!
Athletes a reminder that attendance will be taken every day. Any student athletes that no longer want to be on this year’s team please send us an email ASAP so we can remove you from our lists.
1.) Monday’s practice will be at the normal time 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm. Coach Hollins will be there to work with the pole vaulters at 5 pm. Coach Aaron will be with the throwers at 5 pm. (Weather 84 and partly cloudy)
** Please let event coaches know by the end of practice if you will be unable to make it to the invitational at Hidden Valley on Saturday 4/18. **
2.) Tuesday practice will be at the normal time 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm. Coach Hollins will be there to work with the Long and Triple Jumpers at 5 pm. Coach Aaron will be with the throwers at 5 pm. (Weather 88 and partly cloudy)
3.) Wednesday practice will be at the normal time 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm. Coach Hollins and Coach Aaron will not be having practice today. (Weather 92 and partly cloudy)
4.) Thursday’s practice will be at the normal time 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm. Coach Hollins will be there to work with the pole vaulters at 5 pm. Coach Aaron will be with the throwers at 5 pm. (Weather 90 and mainly cloudy)
5.) Friday’s practice will be at the normal time 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm. Coach Hollins will be there to work with the Long and Triple Jumpers at 5 pm. Coach Aaron will be with the throwers at 5 pm. (Weather 88 and partly cloudy)
6.) Saturday’s we will be attending an invitational at Hidden Valley High School. I will be sending out a complete schedule by Thursday evening. This second invitational will have limited entries, but we will have several Wednesday meets coming up with unlimited entries.

Here is some important information from Coach Wiggins!
- Coach Wiggins will be collecting team fees again this week. Team fees are not required but encouraged for all families who can afford to pay. Fees are $100/athlete or $150 for multi-athlete families. We can accept checks made out to "Cave Spring High School" or cash if it's in an envelope with the athlete's name on it.
- We will be cutting back our pre-practice team meetings to Mondays only. Please meet on the High Jump pad at 3:45 on Monday (4/13) afternoon and all Mondays moving forward. We will take attendance, briefly recap the meet, and discuss the plan for the upcoming week.
