Background

After 25 years of hosting the State Championship at Great Meadow, the VHSL has chosen Green Hill Park as the site of the 2019 VHSL State Cross Country Championships for Classes 1A-3A. This was done to both mitigate travel expenses as well as reduce the amount of time that the student-athletes miss instruction. The 4A-6A State Championship will continue to be held at Great Meadow.

Meet Information

All official rules and regulations for the meet can be found on the VHSL's website. The time schedule, directions, and other pertinent meet information can be found on the Milestat page. The course for the VHSL State Championship will be the same as the 2019 Knights Crossing Invitational course.

Our History

The Cave Spring Meet Management crew has had nearly two decades of experience hosting both Knights Crossing Invitational during Cross Country and the Knights Track Classic during Outdoor Track. Using Knights Crossing as an unofficial preview, meet management has made modifications to the course in order to accommodate the prestige of the State Championship. The new course is more friendly to both spectators and runners alike. Cave Spring Meet Management is looking forward to the challenge that hosting a State Championship provides.
